So with Capcom finally wising up and allowing Americans to play with Europeans/Australians, we can finally make Monster Hunter an official Pietriot co-op game. Unfortunately the update for region-free online won’t be up until next month, but until then, Pro and I have been having a little fun on our own. Enjoy our antics, and if you like what you see, get the game!
Pietriots Radio – Episode 1 (Cities, Legends and Questionable Content)
It’s the podcast you all asked for! What, nobody did? Good, because it’s a radio show! Experts at nothing, amused by everything; Grubdog, Bill Aurion, RABicle, Deguello and Matto all got together in the Pietriots Studio to talk about current games, SimCity, Rayman Legends and tackle the hard issues behind DLC and HD collections.
We were also lucky enough to score an interview with an EXPERT! Michael Pochter gave us some time on his busy schedule to provide insight on the year ahead. Please enjoy!
I’ve got $10, let’s go game shopping – March 2013

Hey, whoa. So much for this being a monthly feature! I mean, it’s not like I made that sweaty, lustful desire public knowledge in the initial $10 write-up back in November, but it existed somewhere in my head. So now you know. Now you know the shame. Definitely next-gen.
Splash or Crash (Kersploosh!) – Toilet Simulator
Splash or Crash has just hit the eShop in Europe and Australia and for some reason this is another game Nintendo of Europe and America could not agree on. Determined not to make a recognisable franchise out of this, they’ve given it separate names to confuse people around the world (much like Pullblox / Pushmo / Fallblox / Crashmo). It’s $3.90 AU so I bought it not expecting too much, and I still found it underwhelming. You control a stone that drops down a well and the goal is to avoid obstacles and fall to the bottom as fast as possible, like a failing third party publisher grabbing for an excuse.

A Message From Nintendo: Gotta Have Game
This scan is from the back of E3 Show Daily: Day 3 from E3 2000. It’s not a product ad,
but a departing statement from Hiroshi Yamauchi just before he retired (maybe). Almost 13 years later (that’s more than TWO Wii generations duct-taped together), does it still apply today?

WiiU is Failing, but it isn’t Nintendo’s fault
Good lord, I’m having déjà vu yet again! Three months into the life of the WiiU, we’re already seeing the cycle repeat itself as it did with the 3DS; sales start to stall, and third parties are no where to be seen. According to the NDP, WiiU versions of games are selling worse then the Vita! (…Vita still counts?) Nintendo didn’t do enough to advertise the WiiU and court third parties! WiiU is now doomed!
…
Nintendo isn’t to blame for this current mess. Continue reading “WiiU is Failing, but it isn’t Nintendo’s fault”

In Today’s News, UbiSoft just screwed over Rayman Legends
In case you haven’t heard the news yet, all that free advertising Nintendo gave to Rayman Legends turned out to be absolutely worthless on Nintendo’s part: Rayman Legends is no longer a WiiU exclusive and it’s being put multiplatform, and as such it making gaming journalists, analysts and haters hard in the pants. The reasons given are batshit stupid but what is even more insane is the fact that the game, which is pretty much finished, has been delayed by six months and is now forced to compete with Grand Theft Auto V. Symphony of the Goddess – Sydney Opera House
The Zelda Symphony in Australia? Yep, lucky for us the symphony likes to travel, and what better place to hold a concert than the Sydney Opera House? It was one of the most unique events I’ve ever experienced and here’s a quick recap with a few pictures.
